Cinco De Mayo

Today while the boys are at school, WE are doing some yard work. And by we, I mostly mean Him because I can't handle very much of it before my nose starts running and I start sneezing but it's a gorgeous day and I got some dirt underneath my fingernails.
We want to remove our pool deck and plant a garden in that area. I am pretty excited for this. I've been pinning like crazy all these ideas I want for the backyard. But first things first, fresh veggies and we need to get some seeds in the ground!

I also have parent teacher conferences today, I can't wait to see how my kids are doing in school. I'm not really worried because we have a couple of little smarty pants running around. Only 10 days left of school!!
In spirit of Cinco de Mayo I plan on cooking a Mexican feast for dinner.

Been busy peeps!

Okay, I'm not making any more promises... I'm way too busy to post regularly. So this is what you get. The last 6 months have gone by so fast and we have been busy busy! My highly anticipated 30th birthday has come and gone. I thought I was going to have some awesome party where all my greatest friends came and celebrated but that didn't happen. I ended up waiting a month to celebrate and I shared my milestone with a small group of awesome ladies. One of which joined me in the 30 club!! I feel great and things feel right. It is like I woke up on my birthday and had life figured out. But I know I don't. However, something changed.

We spent Christmas in Denver with our family, my niece and nephew change so much in between our visits. I love seeing their growth. The road trip there was dreadful both ways. We got a snow storm on the way up and a 3 hour trip turned into a nine hour nightmare. I had to pee so bad and was not prepared to be stopped for hours. What blows my mind is how one little strip of icy roads hold up hundreds of cars for hours. Once we got past that everything moved quickly. Same on the way back but that time it was an accident on the opposite side of the road. Why westbound lanes were closed is beyond me. Moving on....

We brought in the new year asleep as usual. And how 'bout them Broncos? I was so excited to see my boys in orange and blue make it to the super bowl. But that's all I'm going to say about that.....

Then there were more birthdays, the boys.. Both March kids. E had his party at the swimming pool and M at kidzplex. They both had very successful parties and I hope they enjoyed themselves.

During this time I was almost demoted from my management position. This was a complete shock and I didn't handle it very well. I started looking for other jobs but no one called me. That's okay though. I really do enjoy my work. It's the people I have a hard time with every now and then.  Eventually I was moved to a different store,  we all needed a change of pace. And I hope that my colleagues can fix the problems in my old store, things are going pretty well so far.

Lastly we have soccer. Elway has been playing for a few weeks and the season is almost over. He has improved SO much and I hope that he plays again.
