Sand in our _______!

One of my favorite things about summer (I don't have many) is going to the lake. It's one low fee and you get to swim, picnic and play in the sand. I like to call it the Colorado beach. It's where I get my tan on and I don't have some teenage lifeguard making me feel like an inadequate parent for not having my 6 and 3 year old at arms length away from me. Today we went for a few hours and had some yummy sandwiches, chips, cookies and jerky. I got to see a good friend and her family. And the boys were well behaved!

On the way there, E & M were in the backseat talking about E going back to school to start 1st grade and having to be there all day now instead of half a day. E asked M if he would miss him. M replied with a loud, bubbly burp and after a burst of laughter E says "That's why I'll miss you!!" These boys are hilarious and make me smile.

Now I have to shower and go pack these kids up for a sleep over at Grandma's. They'll get to play laser tag with flash lights tonight and go see the new Spiderman movie in 3D tomorrow.
